Stockcross is a
village inBerkshire ,England .The village lies to the west of Newbury in the district of
West Berkshire .It is the site of a brick-built church (St John's) erected and endowed by the vicar, the Rev. H. W. Majendie in 1839.

post office which is also a B&B, and two pubs, the 'Lord Lyon' and the 'Rising Sun'. The Rising Sun is aCAMRA -awarded pub serving ales from theWest Berkshire Brewery . Sutton Hall is the busy village hall, hosting regular events fromjumble sale s to village get-togethers.Berkshire's only 5-star hotel, 'The Vineyard', is in the vicinity and offers a Michelin-starred restaurant.
