There is also a very old castle located in Kilinardrish, just outside Carrigadrohid village. It was occupied by the McCarthy family for a long time, who also owned Macroom Castle at the same time. The castle is next to a bridge and lays in semi-ruin. Until a few years ago, people were given guided tours of the castle but it has not passed safety standards lately. The castle is a square-shaped building and is made of white stone.
