- Twisted Trees
-
The Twisted Trees, Crooked Bush, or Crooked Trees of Alticane are an unexplained grove of deformed aspen trees found in Saskatchewan, Canada. They are found approximately twenty kilometers north-north-west of the town of Hafford, Saskatchewan and just over five kilometers south-west of Alticane and have drawn tourists from around the world.[1]
Biologists have been unable to explain the phenomenon, which occurs on private land. Theories range from a rare genetic mutation to UFO or other paranormal explanations. Prominent in Saskatchewan folklore, the trees have as yet eluded a conclusive explanation.[2][3]
