Viking Airlines started operations on

Since late 2005, Viking has operated regular flights to
Erbil inIraq . The airline plans flights from Stockholm toAthens andBeirut fromMarch 2006 , though the Beirut flight launch has been delayed toApril 2006 and was indefinitely suspended due to the2006 Lebanese-Israeli war and conflict in the region.Viking also operates regular flights fromDublin andLisbon toHeraklion , and vice versa. Since 2008, fromNewcastle toHeraklion and visa versa, on behalf of the Kosmar/XL leisure group.
