Mohammed Rabiu Alhassan (born 31 December 1989) is a Ghanaian professional footballer, who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Évian Thonon Gaillard in France.

Career

He was signed by Gimnàstic on 31 January 2008 from Liberty, at age 18, a minimum age for international transfer.[2] He has his first game played on 18 May 2008 against Sevilla Atlético[3] after 6 months leave the club and move to Xerez CD.[4] He played than his first game on 11 November 2008 against CD Tenerife.[5] On 7 August 2009 U.C. Sampdoria have signed the Ghanaian midfielder on loan from Liberty Professionals FC, the powerful half-back will be part of Sampdoria's youth team.[6] After a season, he joined Serie A outfit Udinese Calcio, as the club borrowed the registration quota from Sampdoria.

On 4 August 2010, he trailed at Évian Thonon Gaillard for a possible loan,[7] the loan was confirmed by the chairman of the club on 7 August and 20 August by Udinese.

On 28 June 2011, Évian achieving promotion to Ligue 1 in the 2010-11 season completed a five-year permanent deal for Rabiu.[8]

International career

Rabiu presented Black Satellites on international level,[9] he played with the team the Quali for the 2009 African Youth Championship in Rwanda.[10] In 2008 was on Call for the Black Stars for the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana.[11]
