Sacred Heart Schools (Chicago, Illinois)

In 1876, the Academy of the Sacred Heart for Girls opened in Chicago. Originally, located on Dearborn street, it is now on Sheridan Road.

Hardey Preparatory School for Boys is a complementary institution for boys, opened in 1935. It is named for Aloysia Hardey, an American-born member of the Society of the Sacred Heart. Both schools were founded and are maintained by that order.
