Stane Street railway station was a station serving the East part of the small Village Takeley in Bishop's Stortford, England.

Services Began on the 7 November 1910 and ended on the 3 March 1952.

The station along with almost all the intermediate stations on the Bishop's Stortford - Braintree branch were little used. The station was built in an extremely rural area, the village centre of Takeley is still very rural and Stane Street and Takeley stations were very close together. However to try to boost passenger numbers, the owner of the line introduced a bus service. However the hoped for passenger numbers never materialized.

It closed to passengers along with the rest of the Branch. [ [http://www.subbrit.org.uk/sb-sites/stations/h/hockerill_halt/index.shtml Subterranea Britannica: SB-Sites: Hockerill Halt ] ]
