The family of Southeast Solomonic languages is a branch of the Oceanic languages. It consists of some 26 languages covering the South East Solomon Islands, from the tip of Santa Isabel to Makira. The unity of the family and its two branches are fully supported by a 2008 analysis of the Austronesian Basic Vocabulary Database.[1]

The fact that there is such little diversity amongst this language group when compared to groups of similar size in Melanesia, suggests that the languages were dispersed in the relatively recent past.
