History

In 1977 100.3 krrv known as 100.3 kdoublerv was founded by jerry jones aka the ol' jaybird. the station is the only station in central louisiana that has not changed its callsign or format. the ol' jaybird created a classic country show named solid gold saturday night in the 1980s and then later on the show was moved to sundays where it is called solid gold sunday. danny white is currently the longest running air personallity in central louisiana. danny first started over 35 years ago on ksyl and then moved to krrv fm where he has been for over the last 20 years. solid gold sunday used to be a 12 hour show alternatinating with the ol' jaybird from 6am to 12noon on sunday morning and ending with danny white from 12noon to 6pm on sundays until the late 90's when tradgicly the ol' jaybird got sick and passed away. but this wasn't the end of solid gold sunday. every sunday morning from 6am to 12noon danny white is the soul host of the show. the biggest year for the ol' jaybird and danny white was in 1981 when the created a song mocking okie from muskogee. the name of the song was okie from tiogi. okie from tiogi is the most requested song to this day on solid gold sunday.
