The Dub Wiser 3 members decide to share their passion for reggae & electronica in 1998, after having played separately in bands such as I'n'I, Skhan or Ausweis (who released one of the very first French reggae -dub album in 1988 and whose singer Puppa Leslie, R.I.P., wrote the French cult-track "Dub Action", that gave its name to the sound system which founded Hammerbass label). These French dub scene pioneers have already released 3 albums + 1 maxi 12", all widely acclaimed by international dub press. Their titles appear on various international & French compilations : Dub Solidarity (Dubhead), French Dub Connection Vol.2 (Echobeach), I Dub You (EMI), French Dub System vol1&2 (Wagram), Dub In France Vol.1&2 (Productions Speciales), and several of them have been remixed by Alon Adiri (erb, Dub Syndicate), Brain Damage (Qwarz Electronic Music Award 2004), Rasboras, General Dub and Wide Open Cage.
After "A New Millennium Of Dub" (named after the Aswad album) and "Chapter II Tribute To Remixes", the new record "Behind The Dub Side" invite us to an urban & cross-over journey through dub, reggae, hip-hop, breakbeat, electronica, world music, industrial rock... and to meetings with guests vocalists of different styles: C'Tom , Agnieska, Solomon KT, Lyncee, Krokmeeten.
0db Organization, the label of the group, inaugurates its first own production in September 2007 with the C'Tom's vinyl 10 " 4 titles : a rub-a-dub builds on traditional kind and an electro-rap, two different styles “pure Dub Wiser” plus their respective dub versions. The flow of C'Tom is claiming in a pure spirit Sound System !
Dub Wiser radiant and spaced out dub, mixing Jamaican roots atmosphere with new technology, take us to discover new sonic surroundings and fantasy landscapes. Dub Wiser gathers all Dance Floor cultures on this constantly evoluting musical map.
