Museum of Archaeology on the river banks of the Wear

The Museum of Archaeology, opened in 1975, is a museum of the University of Durham in England. The museum has collections ranging from the prehistoric, Ancient Greece, Roman to Medieval. The museum's collection was initially started by Eric Birley in 1931.

The museum is also known as the Old Fulling Mill Museum of Archaeology, due to its location is a former fulling mill that was important in Durham's cloth-making industry.
