Twin Brooks is a town in Grant County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 55 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Twin Brooks is located at coor dms|45|12|20|N|96|46|54|W|city (45.205510, -96.781717)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.0 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 55 people, 24 households, and 18 families residing in the town. The population density was 139.3 people per square mile (54.5/km²). There were 28 housing units at an average density of 70.9/sq mi (27.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.

There were 24 households out of which 37.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.5% were married couples living together, 4.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% were non-families. 20.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.61.

In the town the population was spread out with 23.6% under the age of 18, 3.6% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 23.6% from 45 to 64, and 18.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
