As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 133 people, 54 households, and 42 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 364.0 people per square mile (138.8/km²). There were 62 housing units at an average density of 169.7/sq mi (64.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.There were 54 households out of which 31.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.9% were married couples living together, and 22.2% were non-families. 18.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.83.
In the town the population was spread out with 24.8% under the age of 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 24.8% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 16.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 121.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.3 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $38,000, and the median income for a family was $39,750. Males had a median income of $31,875 versus $23,750 for females. The

Sinai was founded in 1907 and for nearby Lake Sinai. The name was given by Martin Trygstad and Sven Sneve, early homesteaders, because of the resemblance of the surroundig territory to the land around Mt. Sinai in the Holy Land.
