Malishka is the second largest village in Armenia by population and the largest by land mass. Almost all of the population lives by subsistence farming. The only other places of employment in the village are the two village schools, the two kindergartens, or one of the many "ghanewts" (shops). Malishka is currently home to a Peace Corps Volunteer who teaches English and holds after school English Clubs at Malishka Secondary School #1.
