Médanos is a town in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The town hosts the "Fiesta Nacional del Ajo" (National Garlic Festival) and is located in the Buenos Aires wines area that has started producing premium wines at the beginning of the 21st century. It is the head town of the Villarino Partido.

Since 1967 Médanos has hosted the "Fiesta Nacional del Ajo" (National Garlic Festival) to honour the people who cultivate and work the land to produce garlic. As this activity grew, garlic became an engine of the regional economy. The festivities typically take place in March and last three days, normally Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They include music concerts, dancing and a thanksgiving mass.

Médanos is a leading terroir for premium wine making. It has the first vineyards and winery in the Buenos Aires province to grow, produce and sell premium Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Tannat wines.

The Medanos wines are elaborated in a terroir with sandy soil that is close to the Atlantic Ocean. Wine from Médanos won a Silver Medal in the 2009 Decanter World Wine Awards, the world's largets wine contest celebrated in London and is well ranked in "Decanter's 2009 recommended list

The harvest season ("Vendimia") typically falls between February & April.
