September 10 ,2001 , the station has handled 4.3 million riders. In 2006, it handled over 1 million passengers for the first time.Fact|date=September 2007The station is located outside the airport's baggage claim area, with easy access to check-in and ticketing. The station's platform is a wedge-shaped island platform with both tracks joining just beyond, as the section nearest the terminal is single-tracked.
Bus line connections
There is no TriMet bus service to the Portland International Airport.

This station is at the end of one of only two single track sections; the other is on the Red Line approaching Gateway/Northeast 99th Avenue Transit Center
