Darragh Hurley (8 October 1985, Kinsale, Co. Cork) is an Irish Rugby Union footballer.[1] He plays as a Prop for Munster and Cork Constitution.
Hurley began playing rugby union with his local rugby club Kinsale R.F.C. at the age of 8. Hurley then made the move to Christian Brothers College Cork where he played Senior Cup rugby and was victorious in 2003. When Hurley left school he joined UCC where he remained for two years. He then went on to join Munster as an Academy player. Hurley then made his Munster debut in 2006 where he played the full 80 mins against Border Reivers in the Celtic (now Magners) league.
Honours
Hurley has previously represented Munster at Schools and U-21 level.[2] He has also represented Ireland at schoolboy level and was part of the U-21 team that partook in the U-21 Rugby World Cup in France in 2003. He earned his first senior Irish cap in February 2008 as part of the A team that suffered defeat to Scotland A (67–7).[3][4] Hurley was also a member of the Ireland Churchill Cup squad [5] that won the plate final at this years competition (2008) in Canada and the USA.[6]
