Donnacha Ryan (born 11 December 1983 in Limerick, Ireland) is a rugby union player for Munster in the Magners League. He went to school in St. Munchin's College in Limerick where he was a key member of the side that won the Munster Schools Rugby Senior Cup in 2002. He represented Ireland at Youth U18 level and subsequently at U21.^[1]

He is also a member of Shannon Rugby Football Club, who play in AIB League Division 1. He won an AIL league medal with Shannon in the 2005–06 season. Ryan's position of choice is as a Lock.

He made his debut for the Irish national team on November 22, 2008 in a test against Argentina in Croke Park, Dublin.^[2]

Ryan was part of the Munster team that won the 2010/11 Magners League, and he was selected in Ireland's training squad for the 2011 World Cup warm-ups in August. He played in the first two tests, against Scotland and France, and was selected in Ireland's squad to go to New Zealand.
