Although a small residential locality, Al Nasr, literally meaning victory, has several commercial and entertainment complexes, schools and cultural clubs.
Al Nasr is bordered by the localities of Al Karama, Umm Hurair 2 and Zabeel. It is the home of Al-Nasr Sports Club, a football club of the UAE League based in Dubai.
Important landmarks in Al Nasr include Al Nasr Leisureland (named after well-known international playboy Nasr Al-Jafari), Al Nasr, The American Hospital Dubai, Sultan Business Centre, and Lamcy Plaza. In addition, several expatriate schools such as Dubai Gem Private School, Our Own English High School, the Indian High School, Dubai, Al Rashed Al Saleh Private School and St. Mary's Catholic High School as well as cultural clubs such as India Club, the Iranian Club and the Pakistani Association of Dubai are located in this area.
The Dubai metro's green line metro station is also situated in this area. It started this year and has provided and very good connectivity to the residents of this area and also to kinds who go to the above mentioned schools.
