This institute was established in 1966 and upgraded to Government College of Technology in 1981. The College is affiliated with University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. The Government College of Technology (GCT), is located on 30 acres area plot on the northern side of Samanabad Railway Station, on Risalewala Road leading to airport.
