United States Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 16.0square mile s (41.4km² ), of which, 15.5 square miles (40.2 km²) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²) of it (3.00%) is water.Current Officers in Plymouth Twp.

Demographics
As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 2,097 people, 821 households, and 590 families residing in the township. Thepopulation density was 135.2 people per square mile (52.2/km²). There were 899 housing units at an average density of 58.0/sq mi (22.4/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 99.19% White, 0.10% African American, 0.10% Asian, 0.14% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.33% of the population.There were 821 households out of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.2% were married couples living together, 8.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.1% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.06.
In the township the population was spread out with 21.7% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 24.0% from 45 to 64, and 16.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 101.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.7 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $36,324, and the median income for a family was $39,922. Males had a median income of $28,718 versus $21,188 for females. The
per capita income for the township was $17,285. About 6.9% of families and 9.9% of the population were below thepoverty line , including 17.3% of those under age 18 and 16.6% of those age 65 or over.References
