EU OPS

EU OPS

This referes to European Community (EU) regulations specifying minimum safety and related procedures for commercial passenger and cargo fixed-wing aviation.

The legislation is known officially as "Council Regulation (EEC) No 3922/91 on the harmonisation of technicalrequirements and administrative procedures in the field of civil aviation" [http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/site/en/consleg/1991/R/01991R3922-20070116-en.pdf] (Summary: [http://europa.eu/scadplus/leg/en/lvb/l24083.htm] )

The regulations are derived from and very similar to JAR-OPS 1, after consultations between the EU and JAA in 1997
