Pro career
Kecman started his basketball career with KK Beopetrol and he stayed there until the summer of 2001. He then transferred to FMP Železnik where he spent the entire 2001–02 season. In the summer of 2002, he moved to Partizan Belgrade and stayed there for 2 full seasons before leaving in the summer of 2004.
During the 2004–05 season he played for three different clubs: Makedonikos, Efes Pilsen and Oostende. He played the 2005–06 season in the Ukraine for Kyiv. In July 2006, he moved back to Partizan Belgrade.[1]
On July 1, 2008, he signed a contract with the Greek League club Panathinaikos.[2]
He signed with Partizan Belgrade again on September 1, 2009.[3]
On April 25, 2010, in the title game of the 2009–10 season of the Adriatic League, Partizan Belgrade topped Cibona Zagreb after overtime in Arena Zagreb, thanks to an off-the-glass three-pointer by Kecman from half-court at the buzzer, bringing the celebration of Cibona players and staff (who already invaded the floor as Bojan Bogdanović scored a corner three-pointer for Cibona with just 0.6 seconds left on the clock) to an abrupt end. Partizan thus won its fourth consecutive Adriatic League title. The final score was 75–74. [4]
