Jefferson Antonio Montero Vite (born 1 September 1989 in Babahoyo, Los Rios, Ecuador) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays for Mexican club Dorados de Sinaloa.

Club Career

Jefferson started out at the youth systems of Emelec. In Emelec, he played a few games before getting transferred to Independiente of Ecuador's Serie B.

In Independiente, he had a much successful career in which he played 25 games and scored 8 goals. He impressed some teams of the exterior because of impressive performances for his club.

Transfer

In October 2008 he received a transfer to Mexican side Dorados de Sinaloa as they push for promotion to the Primera División de México. He and José Madrid will be the two new Ecuadorian reinforcements of the team. They will also be the three Ecuadorian players in Mexico.

International Career

He played in the 2007 Pan American Games for Ecuador and scored in the final match against Jamaica, helping them to a 2-1 victory and the first international tournament in Ecuadorian football history.
