Shikarpur Village

Shikarpur Village was created 450 years ago by Brahmins who arrived from present day Haryana. There were 3 brothers who arrived and formed three villages. The village got its name when a ferocious lion was killed in the vicinity of this area, by the then King to save cattle.Shikar-pur ('shikar'- means hunting).
