Clion is a commune in the Indre department in central France. It has an area of 33.5 km² or 20.8 mi². It had a population of 1,152 as of the 2007 census. It is situated 38 km or 24 miles northwest of Châteauroux, the nearest large city. It is at an elevation of 102 meters or 305 feet. The Indre and Ozance rivers flow through the commune. Its residents are known as Clionnais and Clionnaises.^[1]
