Kootenay—Boundary—Okanagan formerly known as West Kootenay—Okanagan) was a federal electoral district in
British Columbia ,Canada , that was represented in theCanadian House of Commons from 1997 to 2004.History
This riding was created in 1996 as "West Kootenay—Okanagan" from parts of
Kootenay West—Revelstoke andOkanagan—Similkameen—Merritt ridings.It consisted of:
* Kootenay Boundary Regional District;
* subdivisions A and B of Central Kootenay Regional District; and
* the eastern part of Subdivision B of Okanagan-Similkameen Regional District.It was renamed "Kootenay—Boundary—Okanagan" in 1998.
The riding was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed into
Kootenay—Columbia and Southern Interior ridings.Member of Parliament
