binomial_authority = Applegate"Erythronium tuolumnense" is a species of flowering plant in the lily family which is known by the common name Tuolumne fawn lily. It is endemic to the Sierra Nevada foothills of
Tuolumne County, California . This wildflower grows from abulb 5 to 10 centimeters wide, sometimes with associated bulblets. It produces two small, green leaves and a reddish stalk up to 35 centimeters tall which bears one to five flowers. The flower has bright yellowtepal s, a white style and whitestamen s tipped with large yellow anthers. This is an uncommon plant which is threatened by human activity such aslogging in its small native range.External links
