Chandrasekhar Nair

Chandrasekhar Madhavan Nair ( _ml. ചന്ദ്രശേഖര്‍ മാധവന്‍ നായര്‍), known as Chandra Nair is an Assistant Professor of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a native of Thiruvananthapuram in the Indian state of Kerala.

Research

Education

Prof. Nair's early education was in Loyola School, Thiruvananthapuram, where he studied from kindergarten to standard twelve. In 1994, as a standard eleven student, he won the first place in the Indian National Mathematics Olympiad. Nair] ] In 1995, he graduated from Loyola at the top of his class in the Indian School Certificate examination. Immediately afterwards, he gained admission for the B.Tech. program in Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras, after being ranked 109 in the IIT-JEE. In 1999, he graduated at the top of his class, winning the Siemens and Philips India Prize in the process. In 2002, Prof. Nair graduated from Stanford University with a MS degree in Electrical Engineering, and followed that up with a Ph.D. in the same discpiline from the same university in 2005.
