arcade game designed byIkegami Tsushinki , developed by Nintendo R&D1 and published byNintendo . It is one of the earliest naval video game titles. A NES/Famicom port was planned, but then was cancelled. A similar arcade game titledN-Sub , developed bySEGA , was released the same year, but the answer to which came out first is unknown.Gameplay
Under a starry sky, player must use the submarine to fight off enemy helicopters using missiles and rockets. Player controls submarine in eight directions to evade enemy attacks. 30 helicopters in groups of 10 and 4 high-speed versions of them attack from different altitudes. Depth charges released by helicopters into the sea explode at determined underwater depth. If helicopters are not destroyed within the time limit, the helicopters will attack in a special assault pattern. If the players destroy a required number of helicopters, the submarine surfaces, while a native girl dancing on an island boards the submarine, which gives players extra points. The ocean floor rises each time the required number of helicopters are destroyed.
