Jose MoralesSplint is a rock act whose final line-up came together in spring of 2004. The band is notable for featuring former Strawhorse guitarist Gene Johnston and bassist Greg Moore, who gained world acclaim after signing a deal with SCEA to feature the songs "Atlanta" and "Fishbowl" on the Playstation 2 game "

Stone Temple Pilots tribute band Cracker Man. Boston drummer Jose Morales joined Strawhorse in their final months, and after Strawhorse disbanded agreed to stay as drummer for Splint.In 2004 the band released their first EP, which was self-titled. This was produced and mixed by
Scott Riebling (Letters to Cleo ,Fall Out Boy ,American Hi-Fi ,Butch Walker ), and mastered by Fred Kevorkian. It was sold viaiTunes . The band is currently in the studio recording their follow-up album, scheduled to be released in mid-to-late 2008.Splint were selected as "Band of the Month" by Pixi 103 Radio Station. * Roger Ramsey – vocals. Ramsey was born and raised in Charlotte,
North Carolina . At the age of 9 he began singing, and soon joined a gospel group with a local southern Baptist church. By the age of 18 he moved toBoca Raton ,Florida and joined Electra recording artistAin't No Shame . He then went on to projects withAudley Freed ofThe Black Crowes andJonathan Mover . Most recently, he fronted the national touringStone Temple Pilots tribute actCracker Man . After answering an advertisement in the "Boston Phoenix ", Ramsey drove up to Boston to audition with the remaining members of Strawhorse, and Splint was formed.* Gene Johnston –
guitar . Johnston started playing guitar at the age of seven, inDedham ,Massachusetts . By the time he was in his teens he began studying with fusion great Gene Shimosato. Influenced byAerosmith ,Led Zeppelin ,Jimi Hendrix ,Living Color ,Deftones , Nirvana,Alice in Chains andJane's Addiction , he joined his first cover band, playing dances at local Catholic Church halls. Soon thereafter he met up with Greg Moore while working as a roadie in the Boston area. The two soon formed their first original act, Bananocide, an "over the top" punk act. Gene's work in Strawhorse has been featured in several websites dedicated to guitar tablatures. Massachusetts . He formed his first band in junior high school, his influences includingSmashing Pumpkins ,Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith. An original member of Strawhorse, Greg currently plays Ernie ball 5 string basses and Tech 21 amplification.* Jose Morales – drums. From Boston, Morales began playing drums at age 14. He grew up playing the same music scene that spawned members of Puya,
40 Below Summer ,Nonpoint ,Ankla and Cardinal Sin and formerly played in speed/death metal bandNothing Remains . Being influenced by the American hardcore movement, Jose moved to Boston and began playing drums for the band Devour for several years, to a great deal of local success. After Devour split, Jose became the last member to join Strawhorse towards the end of that band's life, and subsequently joined Splint.External links
