Rajender Nagar

Rajender Nagar is a mostly residential neighborhood located in Central Delhi, India. The name comes from Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India. It is bordered by the Central Ridge Protected Forest on the east and south, IARI on the west, and Karol Bagh on the north. The neighborhood is divided into "new" and "old" portions by Shankar Road. Old Rajendra Nagar is filled with narrow lanes and bylanes whereas New Rajendra Nagar boasts of reasonably wide streets and plenty of parks.

One of the most famous landmarks is Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

There are large markets located on Shakar Road and Bara Bazaar Road. There are smaller DDA authorized markets located throughout the neighborhood.

Rajender Nagar includes NPL colony and Rajendra Park.

World-famous Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan was also born in Rajender Nagar and lived here for a few years.
