Louis Truscott is a professional basketball player, currently playing for Bc Mures (Romanian div. 1). Can run, three-point range and can score in the post, threat to score when he has the ball. Understands the game of basketball very well. Can play in a complex system. Defends inside or out. Excellent floor vision. A true “sleeper”. Mentally tough-adjusts well to any environment.

High School

Was Nebraska's most-heralded and the only the only high school scholarship recruit in 1998...was a consensus Top 100 player at Houston's Milby High School...was one of the top recruits in the Houston area...ranked as the No. 63 overall recruit according to Hoop Scoop and was among Basketball America's Super 64 recruits...was a varsity team member at Milby for four years...averaged 17.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 3.3 blocked shots per game for the Buffaloes as a senior...Milby finished the 1997-98 season with a 26-4 record and was ranked No. 1 in the state for much of the season, before a loss in the second round of the state playoffs... named the MVP in District 18-5A and at Milby as a junior and senio...named a second-team All-Greater Houston selection by The Houston Chronicle as a senior...also earned first-team all-District 18-5A and all-region honors as a senior.

1998-99

As a junior a third-team All-Conference USA performer...played in 32 games for the Cougars...made 29 starts...one of three Conference USA players to record 13 double-double performances...averaged 13.4 points per game...scored in double figures during 24 games...tallied a career-high 27 points against South Florida...netted 26 points against TCU and 20 points against 10th-ranked Marquette in the semifinals of the Conference USA Tournament...averaged 16.3 points per game in Houston's three C-USA Tournament games...led Conference USA with a .574 (162-282) field goal percentage...also ranked fifth among the league's rebounding leaders with 9.3 rebounds per game...his 4.19 offensive rebounds per game ranked second among leaders...pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds and scored 18 points against Tulane...tallied 16 rebounds versus Prairie View A&M...named the co-Conference USA Player-of-the-Week and College Insider.com's Star-of-the-Week honors on February 18...also selected C-USA Player-of-the-Week on January 21....recorded a career-high three blocked shots against Tulane...blocked two shots versus East Carolina, Tulane, Texas Tech and Southern Miss...registered career-high two steals against fourth-ranked UCLA and Rice.

2002-03

Played for Houston in NCAA Division 1 playing 28 games. He averaged 15.32 points, 11.32 rebounds and 1.11 assists.

2003-04

Got drafted by the Gary Steelheads from the CBA 2nd Round 15th. He played in 12 games, averaged 0.3ppg, 5.8rpg and 9 assists. In 2003 he participated in the Southern California Summer Pro League with the Houston Rockets.

2004-05

Transferred by the London Towers of the England BBL. Played 12 games in which he averaged 17.33 points 8.83 rebounds, 1.25 assists, 66.7% field goals made and 33.3% from the 3pt line. Finished the season with Ashville Altitude (NBDL) 4.4ppg, 2.4 reb (13.3 min, 8 games)

2005-07

A two year time spent in South America playing for several teams from different countries. In 2005 started for Correcaminos Tampico-Reynos of the Mexican League(9 games, 15.4 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 2FGP:71.3%, 3FGP:40%, FT:61.3%, APG: .3%). After 9 games went to the Bolivian League where he played for Nonis Santa Cruz(19 ppg, 12rpg). Truscott eventually finished the seazon in Urugay with Paysandu(20.1 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 4th in rebounds). In the 2005-2006 seazon played in Argentina for Ferrocarril Oeste Capital Federal(14.7 ppg, 7.8 rpg). In 2006 he was in Chile playing for Deportes Ancud where he averaged 23 ppg and 16 rpg. In 2007 he returned in Argentina playing for Parana Echague(21 ppg, 12 rpg).

2007-08(half seazon)

In 2008 in the second half of the Romanian first league he arrived at Targu-Mures to play for the local team BC Mures. He turned out to be a great transfer helping the team to qualify in the playoffs. He is one of the best forwards from the league and fans love his professionalism and his spectacular playing style. Truscott is the Romanina Division 1 5th scorer. Between May and July he started in all games, averaged 20.08 points, 9.23 rebounds, 1.31 assists, 0.54 steals, 0.38 blocks, 69.1% field goals made, 22.7% from the 3pt line, 67.5% free throws and 35.08 minutes.

Personal life

Son of Patricia Truscott and Louis Moreland, has a daughter Janiah Chinwe Truscott and a boy Taylor Truscott with his first wife. Major is psychology with a minor in African American studies at University of Houston. He got married 2nd time with Chante Truscott.
