BC Mures (Baschet Club Mures) is a professional basketball team from Târgu Mureş, Romania. The team plays in the Romanian Basketball Division A. Every home game of the team is usually a sell-out, with more than 2500 fans creating a loud atmosphere, many of them season-ticket holders. The fan's favourite motto at home games is ``"Welcome to the Jungle"``, which symbolize the feeling given by the home court. For Bc Mures, the home field advantage is usually decisive, because of the huge support given by the fans which give the players adrenaline and a moral advantage. The team's mascot is a Tiger. The two most loved basketball teams in Romania are CSU Atlassib Sibiu and Bc Mures.

2006-2007 Season

In the 2006-2007 competition it finished on the 9th place being only one win away from the playoffs.

2007-2008 Season

Bc Mures finished the 2007-2008 half season on the 8`th place with 7 wins and 6 losses. The team had the best offense in the Romanian first division with 1163 points (89,46 points/game) but also holds the worst defense record with 1164 (89,53 points/game). At half season flagicon|USA Troy Selvey and flagicon|Canada Jon Clark were waived by the management even though both players were loved by the crowd. To replace these players, the management signed with two players from the United States: Louis Truscott 29 years old, 200 cm power-forward and Frank Edward Russell 24 years old, 211 cm center. Jay Anderson, the blonde forward who was injured in the first game will miss the entire season and will be replaced by Luke McKenna.BC Mures finished the regular season on the 8th place, with a record of 15 wins and 11 losses. The team led in points scored, but also in points conceded.

In the first round of the playoffs stage BC Mures was paired against league leaders Asesoft Ploiesti. After losing the first game away from home by a narrow margin, they were defeated on their home court which meant elimination. Playing for the 5-8th place with playmaker JuJuan Cooley out, the team did not get another win, so their final league position for the season remained 8th.

2008-2009 Season

The Romanian Basketball Federation decided to increase the number of participants for the 08-09 season from 14 clubs to 16 clubs. In this case none of the clubs that played in the last season relegated to div. 2. CS Energia Rovinari and CSS ``U`` Craiova are the two new summer clubs that will complete the Romanian Basketball Division A team list.

The other novelty is that beginning from this season every club can sign 7 international players (excluding the European Union) but will be obligated to use at least one romanian player throughout the entire game. Bc Mures has conformed to the new rule and has already signed 6 international players (all of them from the United States). The club`s superstar Jujuan Cooley and forward Luke McKenna decided to sign for an additional season next to the romanian ``veterans`` Pora Vlad, Jakab Crisitian and Szaszgaspar Barnabas. The management has already singned contracts with 4 new american players (Levi Levine, Haron Hargrave, Aaron Coombs and Cory Largent) and is preparing to engage the seventh international player. Another important achievement made by the club is the signing of two romanian players that have been already played for Bc Mures: center Vajda Attila and forward Trif George will complete the 2008-2009 roster.

In order to able to develope it`s own reinforcement strategy the club decided to form a second team that will play in the Romanian Basketball division B under the name of Bc Mures II. Young and promicing players like Biro Ferenc, Bogdan Cormos, Soos Tibor, Daniel Patru, Bogdan Puscas and "veteran" Ioan Muresan along with other local talents will play at this team. The goal of this new team is to prepare the romanian players for the high level of the Romanian Divison A basketball.
