*Stance on Abortion and Homosexuality: During a plenary session of the European Parliament, José Ignacio Salafranca Sanchez-Neyra orally introduced an amendment to promote the Brazilian resolution on sexual identity and sexual orientation, even though it was known since 2003 that this resolution aims to make "sexual orientation" a fundamental human right and that 'sexual orientation', being an undefined term, could include paedophilia and all kind of sexual deviances. Furthermore, the resolution had included amendments on abortion. Because Salafranca's amendment was accepted, the EPP was, therefore, obliged to vote in favor of the entire pro-abortion resolution.
