Shannon Tobin

Shannon John Tobin (born March 12, 1985) is a Canadian politician running for the Progressive Canadian Party.

Tobin was born in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. On January 7th 2008, he announced that he is running in the riding of St. John's East as a member of the Progressive Canadian Party (PC), in the next federal election. [ [http://www.cbc.ca/canada/newfoundland-labrador/story/2008/01/07/stevens-party.html Progressive party aims for Williams's coattails ] ] It was implied during this report that Sinclair Stevens (the interim leader of the Progressive Canadian Party) and Williams hatched a plan to get a fourth choice on the ballot for the people in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. While this connection has been unconfirmed, Sinclair Stevens declared that they will have a full slate of candidates running in the province. So far Shannon Tobin is the only confirmed candidate.

Recent polls have indicated that the Progressive Canadian ticket has a strong chance in St. John's East as Shannon Tobin trail Jack Harris of the NDP by a mere 4% support. The Conservative and Liberal candidates in the riding have support in the single digit range. Fact|date=September 2008
