Shannon John Tobin (born March 12, 1985) is a Canadian politician running for the
Progressive Canadian Party .Tobin was born in Happy Valley-Goose Bay,
Newfoundland and Labrador . On January 7th 2008, he announced that he is running in the riding ofSt. John's East as a member of theProgressive Canadian Party (PC), in the next federal election. While this connection has been unconfirmed, Sinclair Stevens declared that they will have a full slate of candidates running in the province. So far Shannon Tobin is the only confirmed candidate.Recent polls have indicated that the Progressive Canadian ticket has a strong chance in St. John's East as Shannon Tobin trail Jack Harris of the NDP by a mere 4% support.
