Simon Dormandy is an English actor and director, who as an actor has worked primarily with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), perhaps best known on screen for his performances in Vanity Fair and Castaway. Since the early 1990s, he has taught drama at Eton College, Berkshire, and currently holds the post of Director of Theatre Studies there.cite news

Background

Simon Dormandy is an actor known largely for his work with the Royal Shakespeare Company between 1988 and 1995. Over the period he worked with many well known directors, including Adrian Noble and Sam Mendes. He also took part in several films and television series. He was perhaps best known form his performances in Little Dorrit (as Sparkler) and Vanity Fair (as Dobbin). He was also known for his work with the theatre company Cheek By Jowl. However, he has been a teacher at Eton College for a number of years and changed from "Director of Drama" to "Director of Theatre Studies" in 2006.
