Career

Arvind Krishna, always passionate about photography and studied Visual communication at the Loyola College in Chennai, after which he joined ace cinematographer P. C. Sreeram and worked as an assistant to him for nearly five years. It was music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who later introduced him to film director Selvaraghavan and the duo debuted together in the film Kaadhal Kondein (2003).[1] Soon the trio composed of Arvind Krishna himself, Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja went on to become one of the most successful teams in the following years (with the Tamil films 7G Rainbow Colony (2005) and Pudhupettai (2006)) and even founded a production company called "White Elephant".[2][3] But suddenly Arvind Krishna and Yuvan Shankar Raja decided to split with Selvaraghavan and their joint company was given up without having produced any films.[4][5][6]

After the break-up with Selvaraghavan, Arvind Krishna got to work with other noted directors as well. He teamed up with Gautham Menon for his film Pachaikili Muthucharam and with P. Vasu for the Rajinikanth-starrer Kuselan. His recent release was Vaamanan and he has been assigned to handle the camera for the Vishal-starrer Theeradha Velaiyattu Pillai releasing in January 2010.

During the time, when he worked with P. C. Sreeram, Arvind Krishna also worked as an actor in some Tamil films, doing minor supporting roles as in the 1995 film Kurudhipunal or the 2000 film Kandukondain Kandukondain or Poi Solla Porom (2008).
