- Heartland Trophy
The Heartland Trophy is a brass bull that is presented to the winner of the annual Iowa-Wisconsin football game. The trophy is new to the rivalry, as it was first presented in 2004 to Iowa, which won the game 30–7. The game in 2005 was the last home game for Wisconsin head coach
Barry Alvarez . In a rain-soakedCamp Randall Stadium , Iowa spoiled the occasion, winning the game 20–10. The Badgers took possession of the trophy for the first time in 2006, after defeating Iowa 24–21. Wisconsin would even the Heartland Trophy series in 2007, 17–13.The next meeting between the two schools will take place on
October 18 ,2008 , in Iowa City. The series is tied 2–2 when the trophy is on the line. It is also one of the tightest rivalries in college football, with Wisconsin holding a 41–40–2 advantage after 2007.Game results
