Dongyang University Hangul 동양대학교 Hanja 東洋大學校 Revised Romanization Dongyang Daehakgyo McCune–Reischauer Tongyang Taehakkyo Dongyang University is a private university located in Yeongju, South Korea. The graduating class of 2005 numbered 609. The current president is Sung-Hae Choi (최성해).

Academics
Undergraduate offerings are divided among six colleges: Social Sciences, Digital Engineering, IT Information, Art and Design, Education and Hygiene, and Rail Transit. As with many provincial Korean universities, a considerable portion of undergraduate students begin their studies here, transferring to higher level schools after completing two to three years of study.[citation needed]
A variety of doctoral and master's programs are also provided, mostly in engineering-related fields.
Location
The campus is situated in Punggi-eup, an outlying region of Yeongju City.
History
The school was established in 1994 by the Hyeonam Educational Foundation. At the time it was named Dongyang Engineering University. The name was shortened to Dongyang University in 1996.
