The Enschede Warriors were a football team from
Enschede ,Netherlands .Founded in 1985 byMarc Kuizenga and some other enthusiasts, the Warriors started playing in the Dutch 2nd league.After beating theLelystad Lizards in the friendshipbowl and theZaandam Giants in the Runners-up Bowl the Enschede Warriors had the opportunity to play in the highest Dutch league. Unfortunately most players didn't or couldn't play at such level and the warriors choose to stay in the 2nd league.Many players went to play for other team in the next season.Frank Versteeg (RB,The Hague Raiders ),Job Posthumus (OL,Amsterdam Crusaders ) andOnno Hinrichs (LB,Utrecht Vikings ) went playing in the Dutch highest league.Unfortunately the Warriors stopped in 1993 because of mismanagement and a lack of players.Team colours: Helmet: green with silver/ white W on sides. Jersey: Green with silver/white numbers (home) White with silver/green numbers (away) Pants: Silver/grey with green/white stripes. Socks: Green/white (home) White/green (away)

Coaches: during active years the Enschede warriors were being coached by several coaches as Robert Poindexter. Under Coach Poindexterthe Warriors had an undefeated season in 1988.
In 2003 a new team was founded in Enschede, the Enschede Broncos.The Enschede Broncos started competing in the 3rd div. AFBN championship in the 2003/2004 season.
