* These candidates were elected unopposed.

^1 The election of Robert Blackwood was declared void in 1904. At the resulting by-election on 18 May, he was defeated by Hon John Chanter.
^2 The Free Trade Party, then known as the Australian Free Trade and Liberal Association, had dissolved following the 1901 election. Members categorised as "Free Trade" were those who accepted the leadership of Rt Hon George Reid.
^3 There was no national Protectionist party organisation at the time of the 1903 election. Members categorised as "Protectionist" were those who accepted the leadership of Alfred Deakin.
^4 Rt Hon Sir Edward Braddon died in 1904, and was replaced by Norman Cameron at the resulting by-election on 26 February.
^5 Holder was elected as a Free Trader, but became an Independent when he was elected Speaker.
^6 The election of Sir Malcolm McEacharn was declared void in 1904. At the resulting by-election on 30 March, he was defeated by Dr William Maloney.
