Career

He began his career by Police Jinja before transferred in August 2007 to the youth side from Helsingborgs IF. He was promoted to the senior squad for the 2008 season. However during a training session with Ugandan club KB Lions he suffered a severe ankle injury that ruled him out for almost a year. Because he had been under contract for Helsinborgs at the time his contract was terminated for unprofessional conduct. In September 2009 Sserumagga signed a one year contract with Uganda Revenue Authority SC in order to rehabilitate himself back to form and secure a return to Europe. Uganda’s Caf Champions League representatives Bunamwaya SC have beefed up their squad after signing Cranes midfielder Mike Sserumaga and left-back Godfrey Walusimbi.

Sserumaga, who a fortnight ago had trials with Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa, penned a contract with the Wakiso-based side worth Shs7m for the next six months. [1]

On 23 December 2010, he was handed a three-month ban by the club Bunamwaya SC on Tuesday, following his refusal to sit on the substitutes' bench during league games against Fire Masters and Proline. [2]

In February 2011, he joined the Rwandan side Rayon Sport. [3]

International

His debut for the Uganda national football team was on 8 June 2008 against Benin.
