Rose English

Rose English is a British actress, writer and director whose television and film work dates back to the late 1970s.

She has appeared in Mauvaise passe, Our Mutual Friend, Surviving Picasso, Cracker and The Witches.

She was also involved in the writing, editing, costumes and directing of The Gold Diggers in 1983. This is a feminist adventure tale about a beautiful blond movie star who's saved from a life of being passed from man to man by a Black Frenchwoman on horseback. Under her rescuer's questioning, she comes to understand herself as a woman and as a movie queen, sending her off on an extraordinary journey into her own past.
