Brinsmade is a city in Benson County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 29 at the 2000 census. Brinsmade was founded in 1889.

Geography

Brinsmade is located at coor dms|48|10|60|N|99|19|22|W|city (48.183309, -99.322808)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 29 people, 14 households, and 9 families residing in the city. The population density was 129.4 people per square mile (50.9/km²). There were 24 housing units at an average density of 107.1/sq mi (42.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.

There were 14 households out of which 21.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.3% were married couples living together, and 35.7% were non-families. 35.7% of all households were made up of individuals and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.07 and the average family size was 2.67.

In the city the population was spread out with 17.2% under the age of 18, 3.4% from 18 to 24, 37.9% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 20.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 93.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 118.2 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $30,500, and the median income for a family was $30,625. Males had a median income of $21,250 versus $11,250 for females. The per capita income for the city was $14,100. None of the population and none of the families were below the poverty line.
