They also provide logistical support for commercial operators of helicopters equipped with the R-R 250, and hold contracts with the Australian Defence Force to provide maintenance and logistical support for their helicopter fleets. The company has 24 employees, and has a turnover of A$15 million. History

Formed in Cootamundra, New South Wales, in 1988, APA was created as a joint venture with Masling Industries.cite web| url=http://www.apaero.com.au/whoisAPA/history.htm| title=A Brief History of APA| work=Asia Pacific Aerospace| accessdate=2008-01-15| ] In 1993, having bought Masling's stake, the expanding company moved to Queensland, with premises at Eagle Farm, Brisbane.

In 1994 APA became a qualified Rolls-Royce Authorised Maintenance Centre. At around the same time, the company received their first defence contract from the Australian Defence Force, specialising in the Rolls-Royce 250.

In 2000, APA again relocated, this time moving into a A$3 million purpose built facility at Pinkenba, adjacent to the International Airport at Brisbane. Two years later, the company's contract with the Australian military, and were given responsibility for the maintenance of GE T700 engines, as fitted to Black Hawk, Seahawk and Super Seasprite helicopters.
