Verne is an unincorporated town in Harrison Township, Knox County, Indiana.

Geography

Verne is the home of the "Verne Society" established in 1889

P. R. Sweeney is the current Mayor of Verne, Indiana and President of the Verne Society. Jim Osborne is Vice President, and Mark Hill is Secretary/Treasurer of the Society. Membership includes many local as well as people from other states. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is also an active member of the Society.
