On November 11, 1928, the station changed frequencies to 580 kHz and in October of 1931 the frequency changed again to 630 kHz. In 1967 the station changed to its final location on the dial and the transmitting power became 10,000 watts. Two towers were constructed for the station, south ofFort Pierre .
