The Canadian Plastics Training Centre (CPTC) was established to provide education, training and consulting services directly to the plastics industry. Partners of the CPTC include the Canadian Plastics Industry Association, Engel, Husky, Instron and Sumitomo.

Distinguished Artists ".Comedy: Writing and Performance
The Humber School of Comedy was founded in 1999, and is the first and only post-secondary degree program in comedy, in the English-speaking world. The faculty includes Emmy Award-winners SCTV funny-people, and the founder of
Yuk Yuk's .Merv Griffin Productions andCreative Artists Management started pre-production on a reality show based on the course; the series was squashed by Humber's faculty union, who claimed the show might negatively affect the level of education at the school. The series editing procedure would have been unprecedented.See:
Theatre: Performance
The Humber School of Theatre Performance's three-year curriculum includes acting techniques, physical theatre, movement, voice, text analysis, film and TV performance, audition techniques, stage combat, playwriting and theatre history. You learn by doing, through class exercises and mainstage productions with performances in a variety of venues.
