Lewiston Lake is a reservoir formed by Lewiston Dam [http://npdp.stanford.edu/DamDirectory/DamDetail.jsp?npdp_id=CA10165 Lewiston Dam] NPDP Dam Directory. Accessed 2008-01-11.] on the Trinity River, in northern California, United States, near the towns of Weaverville and Lewiston. It is used for watershed protection and flood control, as well as for hydroelectric generation, and is a popular destination for water sports, including water-skiing, fishing, and houseboating.
